Our art workshops can make a difference to your child, they can make a difference to your school. Our workshops look to famous and contemporary artists and we introduce children to exciting new tools and techniques not usually on offer in Primary Education.
It's widely accepted that a child's level of cultural awareness is a huge indicator of how well they are able to succeed in life and engage in wider society.
We help children, parents and schools by providing opportunity for children to engage in creativity. This especially applies to Year 3-6 where art features less in the curriculum.
Art equipment is expensive for schools to buy, it's also not a priority for many schools with pressure for STEM and often art leads are running lessons as a secondary role in an unfamiliar subject.
Art Table has become a reliable after school club service for many schools and we help teachers build their art provision.
Also the wellbeing benefits of art for children are invaluable and provide a necessary means of communication for some, especially for those who are not sporty or academic. Our workshops attract a lot of ADHD and Autistic children as well those who simply enjoy being creative.
Here are 7 ways in which art could benefit your child
The afterschool workshops are usually a cost to the parent, however some Salford schools might want to use pupil premium to fund a class of children attending for a half-term as part of looking after their wellbeing or for other PHSE purposes.
Our focus has been in Salford schools, however we run after-school workshops in Cheetham Hill and Marple Bridge also and are ever expanding our provision.
If you would like us in your school please contact us on info@art-table.co.uk
We can come to your school and run themed workshops around important dates in your school calendar, whether it be combining Art and Science or Art for Mental Health or something else!
We can run an Art Exhibition at your school where your children's work is showcased and celebrated. We are quick to celebrate sporting achievements in schools, however it is also vital that we celebrate those who enjoy visual arts.
We would like to expand our offering to Home Education groups during the day. If this is you, please get in contact with us.
